OVERVIEW

The Canadian Capital Markets Forum is launching an inaugural series of events held quarterly in Toronto, North America’s second largest financial center, in Fall 2023. The forum will focus on key drivers and trends in Canada’s capital markets and how players in the sector are evolving their approaches and practices alongside them.

The purpose of the forum is to provide a platform for players in institutional finance to consider what these drivers and trends mean for the capital markets ecosystems they operate in, how participants are evolving in response to them and to build a network of leaders and innovators in the sphere.

The forum’s founding partners are Alexa Translations and IR Labs.

PURPOSE OF FORUM

  • Review key sectoral drivers and trends at play in the Canadian (and global) capital markets and their impact.

  • Provide a platform for practitioners in the ecosystem to take stock of key drivers and trends in the sector and what it means for them on the ground.

  • Create a network of innovators to share knowledge and experiences to help drive evolution in Canada’s capital markets ecosystem.

STRUCTURE

  • Format: 3 hour events (late afternoon, held quarterly) with 3 panel discussions / presentations / fireside chats followed by networking drinks (hosted quarterly at the Cboe Canada HQ in downtown Toronto)

  • Audience: 80-100 high level decision makers from the buy and sell side at financial institutions as well as leaders from service providers to the sector.
